Temping
In the current economic climate, companies need a workforce that can be shaped as the situation demands. Most now see the importance of a flexible workforce and this, in turn, is providing more and more opportunities for people in the temporary sector.
Temping offers a host of benefits which can make it a preferable choice for many jobseekers. As outsourcing recruitment and payroll is a popular choice for companies within the construction industry, temping often isn’t so temporary. Many candidates spend years working with the same organisation, either working on one large project, or moving between them as the need arises.
Temping can also be a popular choice in other sectors. It allows the candidate a level of flexibility that just isn’t possible in a permanent position. You can choose assignments that suit when you’re available and take a break between assignments when you need to.
Temps often receive a higher hourly rate when compared to the equivalent permanent position, and are entitled to the same statutory sickness and holiday benefits that a permanent employee would expect.
